Statement: Llyndir Hall Hotel- 5th February 2026
I have been contacted by constituents about Llyndir Hall Hotel in Rossett due to rumours that the hotel is reopening to house asylum seekers.
It is vitally important to establish the facts, and I am very concerned that misinformation is being spread that has no evidence and has not been checked with the appropriate authorities, either Wrexham County Borough Council or the Home Office.
This misinformation has concerned the community and is irresponsible at a time where this issue has been resolved in Rhos and Gwersyllt.
I am grateful to Wrexham County Borough Council (WCBC) for the following information:
1. There is NO planning application lodged for Llyndir Hall with WCBC.
2. The Home Office, Clearsprings or any other provider has NOT been in contact with WCBC with regards to using Llyndir Hall to house asylum seekers.
I hope this provides clarity to residents. If I have any further information, I will share it.
