SOCIAL MEDIA
The Prime Minister has shared the sad news regarding the death of his father Roy today. He has spoken about how his father's Alzheimer's diagnosis has influenced his own thinking around social care. I know this experience is one that many share.
My thoughts are with the Prime Minister and his family.

📢UPDATE: Post Office- Wrexham city centre📢
I have been in contact with the Post Office asking for a further update after the store closed at the weekend.
Post Office have advertised for potential applicants to come forward to operate a post office in Wrexham. They received expressions of interest and an applicant is in the very early stages of the process.
Typically it takes around six months for a new branch to open. This includes identifying and approving the operator, finalising agreements, installing Post Office facilities, undertaking any necessary property works and ensuring the new operator and their staff receive the appropriate training.
Whilst I know that six months is a long time for those who use the Post Office, the process is already under way. I will also be following this up with them. Unfortunately it is customers who are suffering because of the decisions of TG Jones.
The Post Office has apologised to customers who may need to travel further and highlight that the nearest post office services are available at Rhosddu Post Office LL11 2NW and Caia Park, Prince Charles Road LL13 8YB.
