At the Second reading of the Railways Bill, I was delighted to discuss the importance of public ownership for improving passenger experience on the railways. Here is an example of England following the example of Wales in bringing rail back into public ownership. It will also end the complex systems around ticketing and different providers which all of us experience when we travel cross border.
