Andrew has lived in Wrexham for over 25 years and is proud to call the city his home. Prior to his election he worked in hospitality and financial services while serving as a community councillor and local Labour Party activist. In 2022 he was selected as Wrexham’s Labour Party candidate and was elected at the 2024 General election with a majority of 5,948, becoming Wrexham’s eighth Labour MP since the seat’s creation in 1918.
“On the 4th of July 2024 I was honoured to be elected as Labour MP for Wrexham. While the campaign was certainly challenging, the real battle to undo 14 years of Tory mismanagement has now begun. Being elected as Wrexham’s MP was the biggest honour of my life and I will strive to do my best for all its people.
