The human suffering in Gaza is sickening and indefensible and must stop now.
We must recognise the state of Palestine as the French President has again pledged yesterday. I have co-signed letters to Ministers explaining why this must happen along with the need for an immediate ceasefire and in the long term, a two state solution.
I have also joined MPs from across Parliament to ask for the rapid expansion of medical visas and assistance for Gazan children, supporting schemes such as Project Pure Hope.
I welcome the action already taken but more is needed, now.
